Who is teaching?

With a background in Fine Arts and a degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design, Semra continues to practice fine arts in her pursuit of painting while continuing to foster passion for design of hospitality spaces. Her global background and ability to speak Azeri, Russian, English and Turkish lends to her ability to understand and be inspired by different cultures and bring these inspirations into art and design.

She was awarded First Prize in a competition organised by the British Council in Baku during her degree in Interior and Spatial Design, the requisite of which was to redesign the interior of The State Museum of Azerbaijan Musical Culture. Being an interior designer, Semra has worked on projects across a variety of sectors, including schools, residential developments and large scale hotels throughout the UK, Azerbaijan, Middle East and Europe.

Who is the course for?

This is a well-structured and systematic course for those who have never painted before or would like to reassess their approach to painting. Working through a series of exercises you will learn basic techniques and will be introduced to the following media: charcoal, pastel, acrylic, watercolour and pencil drawing.
