Mr. Kamran Mahmudov is a World and Azerbaijani History teacher. He is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable historian. He is a graduate of Baku State University with Honors Bachelor Degree in History. It is worthwhile to mention that while he was still in the first year of bachelor’s degree, he had become one of the winners of XVI Republican History Olympiad which was held by Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. He enhanced his practical knowledge and skills by actively participating in a series of seminars, conferences and historical expeditions. As well as, Kamran was awarded with the Scholarship Program of Eurasia Research Institute named after D. I. Mendeleev due to his academic qualifications.
After getting his BA and completed military service, he began his teaching career in one of national Educational Company. Since that time, he has been working as a World and Azerbaijani History teacher more than four years in different private schools. He is also the author of the World History textbook which is authentic material for preparation to State Examination Board exams. Currently, he is working as a World and Azerbaijani History teacher at Landau School which is one of the prestigious schools in Azerbaijan offers international programs such as KS3, IGCSE and A-level courses. Along with his professional career, he is doing his Master’s Degree on International Affairs and Diplomacy at the ADA university. He has also been selected to receive Graduate Assistantship – prestigious scholarship of ADA university. So, he is working at ADA university as a research assistant as well. As a history teacher, Kamran’s main ambition is to support his students to apply critical thinking and understand historical processes rather than just memorizing them. He believes that, it will make history classes more engaging and entertaining.
This course is designed for children but anyone who is interested in History of Azerbaijan is more than welcome to join.
